The College of Southern Maryland is committed to providing employees with quality, comprehensive faculty and staff development resources. Programs are designed to engage employees in active, continual learning and support professional development in all facets of their work here at the college.

Technical Training

The technical training program supports staff and faculty by development and coordination of training opportunities relating to software applications used to perform college business functions. This includes but is not limited to overview training for new employees, GroupWise, Colleague, on line services, network and security related topics. In addition, this program also offers some Microsoft Office training as it specifically relates to other college software.

Human Resources

Human Resources provides faculty and staff development which includes New Employee Orientation, Supervisory Training, Customer Service, Leadership Development Module, General Skills and Workplace Safety Training. Innovative Teaching Center

The Innovative Teaching Center (ITC) provides training and professional development focusing on teaching and learning technologies. Additionally, ITC sponsors monthly STARLINK web casts that can be viewed from your home/work computer or as an archived DVD.
